What is Assisted Living?
Assisted living is a housing option for seniors. Services are offered daily to residents in their own apartments. It allows those who no longer wish to remain in their own homes a lifestyle that promotes independence and freedom of choice in a secured environment designed specially to meet their needs.

What is Granite Ledges of Concord?
Located on the campus of Concord Hospital, Granite Ledges is an assisted living community, offering comprehensive services and amenities. Personal care and household services are provided in the privacy of residents’ own apartments. And for added peace of mind, staff is onsite 24 hours a day.

Who is it for?
Granite Ledges offers a unique balance of independence and care. It is designed for seniors who want to live independently, but may need some assistance.

What services does Granite Ledges provide?

  • Medication management/reminders
  • RN/LPN care
  • Assistance with personal care services such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Assistance with daily living activities such as shopping, laundry, and housekeeping
  • 24 hour staff to respond to medical emergencies
  • Physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy available through consultative service
  • Three nutritional meals daily
  • Pharmacy delivery
  • Social and recreational programs
  • Handicapped accommodations

Are the apartments furnished?
No, we encourage residents to bring their own furnishings to help make each apartment their home. We do have furnished apartments for respite or short term stays.

Are there kitchens in each apartment?
Each apartment has a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, a sink, and a refrigerator-freezer. However, three delicious meals a day are included in the monthly fees and we do encourage all residents to dine in the dining room to enjoy the companionship and fine food.

How many square feet are in each apartment?
We have many sizes and floor plans from which to choose. The range in sizes is from 330 to 700 square feet. Monthly fees are based on square footage and location. We offer studios, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments, and deluxe one bedroom apartments.

What kind of security do you have?
You will find a sophisticated emergency call system in each apartment for immediate response in case you need assistance. The entry and exit doors are alarmed. Also, we have staff on duty 24 hours every day.

Do you have a beauty salon or barber shop?
Yes, we have both on the premises. There is a licensed professional to serve you by appointment, three days a week.


Questions about Dining Services

How are the meals served?
Meals are served in our dining room by our professional, friendly wait staff. Choices of a variety of entrees are available at each meal. We will also provide a list of alternatives served daily.

Are my guests permitted to eat with me in the dining room?
Yes, your guests are welcome to dine with you. We have a private dining room to accommodate large family gatherings and small parties as well. We ask that our residents please call in advance to make a reservation for guests meals.


Questions about Services

Do you provide medical services?
We recommend that residents rely on their own personal physicians for any medical needs. We do have a Resident Care Director who will act as a liaison with the medical community and advocate for our residents for the medical services they require.

Do you have laundry services?
There are laundry rooms on the second and third floor for the convenience of the residents. The Homestead Unit for the memory impaired also has its own laundry room. No coins are needed. If you wish, we will arrange to have your personal laundry done at a charge. Flat linen service of your sheets and pillowcases is already included in the monthly fee. Dry cleaning pick up and delivery is available as well.


Questions about Activities

Are there recreation and exercise rooms?
Activities are held both within and outside our building. There is a multipurpose room that has activities from exercise classes and craft programs, to musical entertainment and lectures.

Do you furnish transportation?
Scheduled transportation will be provided for shopping trips and special events for which transportation will be arranged. There is shuttle service to medical services provided by the Granite Ledges’ vehicle on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
